Spyshots: 2014 Volkswagen Passat
Das Auto is really puts its MQB platform into everything as we spotted the prototype of 2014 Volkswagen Passat not camouflage sheet all over its body was parked in snowy parking lot. Just a bit off of our topic, we know that the German SUV has no camouflage sheet at all which means that the 2014 Passat is near its finishing stages and we shouldn’t refer it as prototype, but more like about-to-be production version. But, you know what we are trying to say here, so it doesn’t matter if we refer this vehicle as prototype as it doesn’t officially rolls out from production floor, right?
Okay, the reason why we quite certain that VW Group will put MQB platform in everything which fits is because it is what Das Auto wants as this definitely can save some production expenses and all German automaker has to do is borrowing another model’s engine and interior and ta da…. Brand new car with brand new name which hopefully can bring profit to the company. So, we are not surprise if the 2014 Volkswagen Passat has similarities with Audi A3 because the MQB platform has been rumored to underpin both giant family cars.
Autoevolution.com reported that judging by the spyshots on the 2014 Passat prototype, the SUV could be wider if we check on the way Das Auto places the wheels. The interior snapshot showed that the instrument cluster and some parts of the dashboard are covered up so our prediction is that this vehicle is fitted with the brand new Passat’s tech.

I’ve got a 2008 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T and I believed about wearing newer and more effective wheels. The stock ones that included the vehicle are 16′s (inches) so I believed about putting bigger wheels onto it but I am not sure how big would look great onto it? Any suggestion?
