Official Tech Reports on 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI
We have witnessed the real life photos of the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI which got its official unveiled at 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The German bug is dressing on the same body shell of the 2012 Beetle, but what makes it the center of attention is the fact that Das Auto promises that the compact city car delivers efficient fuel return usage. Yup… after the official introductory, it is time for Volkswagen to take the next step on marketing the German bug as they releasing the official technical reports.
Autoevolution.com reported that the most efficient model of the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI is the one which powered by the 2.0L TDI engine with 140 horsepower. Yes, that is the SAME engine which powered the Passat and Jetta TDI models. Coupled that engine to manual stick, the German bug offers return fuel efficiency as much as 29 mpg for city and 39 mpg for highway which obviously outrun the fuel efficiency scored by Hyundai Elantra. The 2013 Beetle TDI also matches the emissions laws in all US states including California.
No official basic price tag yet, but the 203 Beetle TDI is worth the money where you can also get the 17-inch wheels, kaeferfech secondary glovebox, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth, powered windows, keyless entry, and iPod connectivity. We definitely agree that fuel efficiency is what Das Auto aims with the proposal of the new German bug with diesel powerplant.
