The R20 appears to be a legal street model variant to the German Automaker's LeMans Race Car (R18).  The premier feature of the R20 is its door design which seems to mirror the Mercedes SLS AMG with a pronounced wing like style.  The newest model designated the R20 will arrive with a full featured tail fin with its design extracted off an R18 LeMans race car.  It will encompass a single frame grille, LED headlights, ventilated front and rear wings and rear tail spoiler (adjustable and functioning as an airbrake). 

 

The interior is comprehensive including a functional black panel center display along with active contour seats and a boat load of other interior features.  The R20 will be above the current R8(The R8 E-Tron was dropped by Audi) which will top out its model lineup.  Experts suggest that the vehicle will surpass the McLaren P1 and will assume the role of a road worthy version of Audi's Le Mans winning LMP1 vehicle.

 

Audi's R20 will likely include a hybrid diesel electric powertrain.  A Twin Turbo V6 TDI engine and two 75 horsepower electric motors/generators will generate the power.  Each electric motor will drive the front wheels independently.  The V6 engine combined with the independent front wheel technology will boast a total output of a lofty 700 HP (515 KW). Torque Vectoring and Advanced  Aerodynamics Technologies provides the R20 impetus and additional down force to achieve a 150 -200 mph range.  Additional features include brake energy recuperation and high speed coasting.

 

The R20 could make its debut in Pebble Beach Beach at the Concours d'Elegance in 2015 prior to its start of production(SOP) the following year (2016).  It's anticipated that only 100 – 250 of the R20 will be produced.

 

Is Audi trying to steal the show from Porsche before it releases its 918 plug-in hybrid supercar? One never knows but if you like style, have a load of cash and don't mind about fuel economies then the R20 could be for you!

The pictures tell thousands words as you can see for yourself that the white Lamborghini Gallardo supercar was in a bit of wreck during a test drive. Yup… it’s not careless driver, but maybe not-so-fortunate driver.

Before you mix everything up, the reason behind crashing Lamborghini Gallardo was started when a promising customer set his eyes on this white supercar. You know what happen when you have the money and the privilege to buy this kind of supercar?  Test drive, that is. So, this eager and hyper customer took the Gallardo for quick spin.

The salesman was escorted the promising buyer to feel the menacing power of the Lamborghini Gallardo. After sometimes, the customer might be feeling that it’s time to take the supercar for the next level, so he did. He did get panicked for a while and crashed the six-figures supercar on a roadside barrier.

The damage is pretty much severe as you can see on the photo as the part of the front-end of the Lamborghini Gallardo supercar and the right wheel disintegrated from its axle. Lamborghini Sydney Managing Director – Andrew Smith stated, “It appears he panicked – these things happen, “It doesn’t matter as long as no one was doing anything stupid or crazy, and no one was injured.”

We never been to Lamborghini store before, does it have signs like “You Crash It  – You Buy It?” Hopefully after this incident, the store will put sign like that so no other Gallardo will be victim of eager and hyper promising buyers.

Must the happiest place on Earth as it surrounded by supercar like the Veyron.

With 11 units of Bugatti Veyron gathered in one place, what else can you hope for? Among the army of Veyron supercars that invaded US, we managed to find the ordinary 1,000 horsepower Veyron (how come a Veyron referred to be “ordinary”?), a pair of hunkered-down Veyron Super Sports with noticeable bright yellow bumpers and wings, and four units of super sports Bugatti Veyron convertibles.

It’s not difficult to locate the Veyron Grand Sport “L’or Blanc”, just look for the shiniest Veyron among the supercars and it will leave you bewildered; is it in blue, white, or silver? As we mentioned before, being in one place surrounded by 11 units of Bugatti Veyron, must be the happiest place on Earth.

The video was less than one minute, but enough to see living proof of dual tone of Bugatti Veyron supercar in matte black and purple. Just want to remind you that the mighty supercar is powered by 8.0L W16 engine with the power output reaches 1,001 horsepower and 922 lb-ft of torque. To complete the performance, the Veyron equips with 7-speed automated manual gearbox which has similar design with Volkswagen’s DSG transmission.

The all-wheel drive system on the Bugatti Veyron is able to reach 0 to 60 mph in about 2.5 seconds – told you it would be blast off less than 5 seconds, right? – and a quarter-mile time in the low 10 seconds range. The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento supercar comes alive at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show to impress the crowd with its sibling – the Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. The first time Lamborghini Sesto Elemento supercar – “Sesto Elemento” translates in English as “Sixt Element” – was at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. So, what makes the Italian raging bull really proud of this Sesto Elemento? It’s not like all their supercars are special, limited for certain people, and exclusively unique, right?

Well, what makes Lamborghini Sesto Elemento much much more  special than the Aventador is because the Italian raging bull has put everything they have got to create this super lighter supercar. Yes… the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento carries more carbon fiber than other supercars as the overall weight is at 999kg (2,202 lbs). To do a comparison, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera (means “superlight) weighs 1,340 kg (2,954 lbs).

So, where do all the carbon fiber materials go on the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento supercar? It is practically all over the bodywork such as monocoque body, front frame structure, body panels, crumple zones, rims, and even drive shaft. Okay, now we know how the Sesto Elemento be the lighter supercar, but can it be the fastest? It is time to look under the hood, right?

The engine for the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is borrowed from the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera which is 5.2L V10 alongside with the all-wheel drive system. Step inside on the Sesto Elemento, you will find composite tubes for the center console, dashboard, seats, and of course some of them are made from – what else – carbon fiber.

The Italian raging bull has confirmed that only 20 units of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento supercar which offered to customers. Stephan Winkelmann – CEO of Lamborghini stated, “The excellent feedback and the numerous requests we’ve had from our customers have really convinced us to embark on the challenge of producing a vehicle with unique characteristics. We are proud that what a year ago was just a ‘technology demonstrator’ of future super sports cars, even though in working order, will become a small series reality. Only 20 units of the new Sesto Elemento super sports car will be produced, and will be destined only for track use. We’re planning to deliver the first cars at the beginning of 2013.”
