Spyshots: Facelifted Porsche Panamera

Porsche Panamera Facelift Spyshots: Facelifted Porsche Panamera

It’s here and got new front face, ladies and gentlemen, we present you, the one and only facelifted Porsche Panamera in series of spyshot. You don’t think we will bring you the real-life form of the luxury sedan, right? Anyway, the recently spotted facelifted Panamera is no doubt to complete the 2012 line-up after the grand opening was performed by the 2012 Porsche 911.

What made us so excited about the spyshots of the facelifted Porsche Panamera was because this sedan has less camouflage sheet all over its body. It can only mean one thing: the due date of producing Panamera is fastly approaching. One more thing, less camouflage sheet also means that we get the chance to see the almost-finish final design.

Question: can you guess where the facelifted Porsche Panamera took the test drive? Nope… It’s not in Germany, but in Spain. Yup… the Panamera took some driving on the Spain open roads to test the adaptability on hot weathers.

What do you think about the overall look? For us, the facelifted Porsche Panamera brings the mid-life refresh of sedan and definitely has no difficulties in mingling with the new 911. We also notice that the German automaker seems to work on the rear of the sedan. If we compare the facelifted Panamera with the2012 Panamera Turbo S, can you spot the different and similarities? Type your thoughts on the comment box below.

Porsche Panamera Facelift Spyshots: Facelifted Porsche Panamera

Just yesterday we got the spyshots of the Porsche 911 cabriolet, we got another spyshots from the Porsche Panamera facelifted.  Well, it seems doesn’t fair if the 911 series have gotten all the attention, so the Panamera saloon wants more attention – or at least, the same amount of attention, right? Rumor has it that the facelifted Panamera will be ready in a couple of years.

The Porsche Panamera with facelift is consider to the prototype as it was strolling the streets of Germany with almost no camouflage covered on the entire bodywork. So, will it hit the production in two years time or in next year?  The test drive on the Panamera was to test the changes on the headlights and LED foglights, as we also spotted the new clusters which are definitely pop up around the back. Just maybe, we found the same clusters on the 911 which means that the German automaker giving some kind of mass signature to all their products.

Rumor has it that the facelifted Porsche Panamera saloon will be more sporty. More sporty? We thought that the prototype has sporty enough, and we just can’t imagine the more sporty side of the Panamera which will be revealed I 2015. Porsche stated that they will add a two-door version of the Panamera and probably will be dubbed as “928”.

By the way, do you know that the facelifted Porsche Panamera is big four-door saloon? Yes…. It’s four-door saloon and judging by the photos, we think that this Panamera prototype needs buttlift, not facelift.

Porsche Cayenne Adds Profits Up to 59%

Porsche Cayenne Porsche Cayenne Adds Profits Up to 59%

We know that Porsche has plans for its SUV offering, as a smaller Cajun will hit the market in coming years in both two- and four-door versions, yet the existing Porsche Cayenne is doing just fine on the market right now, as it has helped the German carmaker increase its profits by 59 percent in the first half of the year, according to our German contributor.

During the same period, demand for the German SUV more than doubled, so the expected 20 percent increase in production for next year might not be enough to lower the waiting list to under half a year. Demand must have caught even Porsche execs by surprise, because it’s rumored that customers in places like China are having to wait as much as a year for their Porsche Cayenne luxury SUV  to arrive.

With strong backing from Volkswagen, with Porsche Cayenne luxury SUV, Porsche wants to double all its sales by 2018 to about 200,000, which would make the 911 figures look positively enormous compared to other lesser sportscar makers.

Porsche shifted 28,000 in the first six months of the year, reinforcing the company’s pledge to sell more than 100,000 units this year, from 97,000 in 2010. With the way things are shaping up, the figure could be surpassed by at least 10 percent.

China gobbled up the Porsche Cayenne and 911 at an incredible pace, reporting a 47 percent increase to 11,712 sportscars and SUVs.

“Profit and margin are both above expectations,” said Juergen Pieper, a Frankfurt-based analyst at Bankhaus Metzler. “Porsche has excellent products with the Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Panamera and the overall environment for premium cars is very solid.”

Virtually all the current Porsche models will be replaced revised or will get a new configuration in the next two years, so Porsche’s future look secure.

2011 Audi A8 The 2011 Audi A8 Review

The 2011 Audi A8 has presented itself as the full-size luxury-sedan segment along side with BMW 7-Series, Mercedes-Benz S550 and Porsche Panamera. The 2011 Audi A8 sedan for sale with starting price of $90,000. The engine variant is only one, which is 4.2-liter DOHC V8.

The V8 engine is the third-generation installed on the 2011 Audi A8 sedan which gains 22 horsepower and 4 lb-ft of torque over its previous iteration with output now totaling 372 horsepower and 328 lb-ft of torque.

The performance of the 2011 Audi A8 sedan is enough to make it the least powerful in the segment, ceding 8 horsepower to the Lexus LS460 and 10 to the Mercedes-Benz S550. Audi stated that the 2011 Audi A8 sedan returns 13 percent better fuel-economy usage than its previous version, which means around 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway for the new vehicle.

Okay…we get it that you disappointed with the power of the 2011 Audi A8 sedan. Fear not, because Audi will be offered other engines in the coming years. Audi confirmed that for the upcoming 2011 Audi A8 sedan, there will be a W12-model as well as a new Audi S8, although the power is derived from Lamborghini V10, for the Audi S8 will be replaced by a smaller and lighter engine equipped with forced induction.

Rumor has it that the new engine variant for the next generation of the 2011 Audi A8 sedan will be a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. All the 2011 Audi A8 sedan models will get the ZF-supplied eight-speed transmission which we predict the luxury sedan will reach 0 to 60 mph in about 5.0-seconds.

The tail of the 2011 Audi A8 sedan is almost similar to the ones at the rear of the newest Audi A4, and the corporate grille is in full effect, even if it has grown from a goatee into more like a mini-beard.

The interior of the 2011 Audi A8 sedan, we found it quite impressive. Audi made us speechless with the MMI touch interface which located on the left side of the center console, and perfectly placed to allow the driver to rest his or her forearm on the yacht-based shifter.

The rectangular touchpad allows you to simply write letters with your fingertip and effortlessly scroll through menus.

The 2011 Audi A8 sedan is truly one of the most luxurious vehicles Audi has ever made.

Welcome Back, Bentley Turbo R

2011 Bentley Mulsanne1 Welcome Back, Bentley Turbo R

What do we miss from the Bentley’s production line-up?  We give you a hint; it has not been available in the British market sales for 10 years. Before decided to announce the comeback of the Turbo R, Bentley was suspended the release of the Turbo R due to financial problem. Now that Bentley has got its financial support, they are ready to reintroduce the Turbo R.

One of the British car manufacturers – Bentley leaked that the Turbo R is coming back when the Bentley Mulsanne was in released to the market. If we trace the history if Turbo R, the first production was built between 1985 and 1994 and it had the Mulsanne Turbo models as a starting point. The car featured Rolls-Royce V8 engine which delivered approximately 350 horsepower and a suspension setup to match the power.

At this moment, no official confirmation from Bentley brand regarding the comeback of the Turbo R, but if they do and will start the car, it seems like it will borrow Bentley Mulsanne’s 6.75-liter V8 engine which can give 510 horsepower. The maximum power of the Turbo R perhaps will more than 600 horsepower and the launching date could be 2013.

The new Bentley might be a coupe version of the Mulsanne which means it will have the same front as the limousine with the big headlights and signature grille. That would be our prediction, other than that, the Turbo R will be totally different with a rear end coupe look, probably something similar to Bentley Brooklands.

Starting 2015, Bentley believed to introduce a series of new models on the market and all of them might have a lot of technical elements borrowed from Porsche. One model that Bentley could put on the market might be a Continental GT sharing platform five doors coupe with a price tag of €170,000 (£150,000). Rumor has it that the platform for the model is going to be the next generation of Porsche Panamera. Bentley could even build an all-wheel-drive SUV crossover and a coupe to go against the Maserati Grand Turismo.

Well, the Bentley Turbo R might be launched in 2013, but we have been waiting for 10 years to say, “Welcome Back, Bentley Turbo R”.
