Spyshots: 2012 BMW M6 Convertible – Part II

2012 BMW M6 Convertible

The 2012 BMW M6 strolled the street of Germans for test drive. The German coupe convertible was covered in less camouflage sheet as it only covers the side skirts, bumpers, and rear bumper. You know what less camouflage sheet means, don’t you? It means that the 2012 BMW M6 is approaching its final developments before getting its official unveil.

2012 BMW M6 Convertible - roof on and off

With the roof down – and there was a bit of roof folding action – we get the chance to see the interior and the exterior of the coupe convertible. A grey exterior paint model and the more fierce black. An aggressive style is very noticeable on the exterior as the 2012 M6 carries a larger air dam, a lower bumper, a new muscular nose, and bulging bonnet.

Moving to the back, the 2012 M6 has quadruple exhaust which obviously emphasizes the M creation and that new bumper and we just can’t get our eyes of off the an integrated rear diffuser. It is might be your first chance to see series of spyshots on 2012 BMW M6 with massive amount of black leather, M badges on the shifter and instruments, and instruments with sporty steering wheel.

No photos on the engine, but we predict the 2012 BMW M6 is powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8 which also powered the X5 M, X6 M and M5. Rumor has it that the 2012 M6 will be delivering 600 horsepower which definitely will be more expensive.

Tuning Series: Audi A1 by Eibach

Eibach Audi A1

Another tuning series news and this time, it’s the Audi A1 by Eibach. Just look at the photos; can the coupe hatchback be more aggressive than this? Question: how many tuning houses you know have the guts to play with the A1? Customizing the coupe hatchback is not that easy, but it seems like Eibach once able to pull it off. Eibach is not only an expert tuning house, but they have other expertise too which is the suspension specialist.

Eibach stated that the reason why they chose to play with Audi A1 is because they want to give the coupe hatchback a balanced modification project that has major attention on the tech side of the car. In order to be able to reach that goal, Eibach asked the help from Bilstein and Bilstein is happy to offer their new B12 Pro-Kit.  That kit makes the A1 closer to the road by 40mm but drivers can adjust them from the dampers.

Notice that awesome tires? The Audi A1 gets Borbet XA wheels in 18×8 size with a multi-spoke design and placed on 12mm Eibach spacers. It’s not complete if customizing A1 without even tweaking the engine a little bit, right? The ordinary engine for the A1 is the 1.4L TSI turbocharged that able to offer 122 horsepower and after upgraded, its able to deliver 157 horsepower. To complete the performance system, Eibach mounted a Remus exhaust system for the A1 that uses 84mm tailpipes and of course, a remap ECU.

The Upcoming 2012 Bentley Continental GT2

2012 Bentley Continental GT2

The arrival of the 2012 Bentley Continental GT2 coupe has been officially confirmed by the Bentley CEO Durheimer. He stated that the two-door (which means its in coupe form, right?) version of GT2 Continental will be ready next year.

It’s not the coupe form that excites us, but the total power output for 2012 Bentley Continental GT2 that might be able to reach up to 650 horsepower. Question: which type of engine that can offer that kind of power – the W12 or the V8? Come on… a 5th grader that addicted watching automotive TV series is smarter than you. Frankly speaking, both W12 and V8 are able to create 650 horsepower; but we think the W12 is more fitted with the overall look of 2012 Continental GT2 coupe.

The 2012 Bentley Continental GT2 will not only carry massive power under its hood, but the coupe will be having a strict diet in order to reach certain weight level. The total weight loss needs to be shed by the 2012 Continental GT2 is around 200 kg (400 lbs) from the current weight 2,200 kg (4,400 lbs). Sounds familiar? Honestly, the weight loss program for the GT2 is similar with what the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has. Guess we have to credit the Bentley engineers to be able to pull that off.

Back to engine, the 2012 Bentley Continental GT2 coupe is intended to be a track-focused version vehicle. It means that the GT2 has the ability to go sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) less than four seconds.

Bentley CEO – Durheimer has this to say about the arrival of 2012 Bentley Continental GT2 coupe, “I definitely think there is room for a car with more power than the Supersport. I also think some of what we did with the Supersport in the past wasn’t quite right. For example, it should not be a two-seater. That layout should be reserved for the top-line cars.”

2011 Frankfurt Auto Show Report: Facelifted Audi RS5

Audi RS5 facelift

Another report from the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show as we spotted that the Audi RS5 has new look. The coupe sedan has gone some facelifted program to be able to strike a pose at the event. You might know that the Audi A5 is just regular coupe and can be considered to be the best looking cars which carry the Quattro all-wheel drive. But, the German automaker thought that it is time to give the Audi A5 new look. The Audi RS5 coupe sedan is now has more angular grille and different headlights.

The German automaker decided to give the Audi RS5 not only cosmetic make-over, but also giving new boost for the coupe sedan. Okay, time to see what Audi has done with the new RS5, shall we? The biggest make-over we spotted on the Audi RS5 coupe sedan is the bevels on the top of the grille, wavy headlights – signature of Audi, don’t you think? – and sharp-looking new hood.

The interior of the Audi RS5 coupe sedan equips with new steering wheel with a flatter bottom, new stalks, and a different shifter knob. Judging by the interior photo, we think that the inside of Audi RS5 coupe sedan carries sportier and more vigorous style.

We’re done with the cosmetic parts, and it means that we are ready for some figures here. The Audi RS5 coupe sedan is powered by the same-old 4.2L naturally-aspirated V8. That is a bit disappointing, right? Anyway, that particular V8 is able to give power output around 450 horsepower at 8,250rpm and the torque reaches at 430Nm (317.15 lb-ft). To complete the performance, the 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system are mounted under the hood of Audi RS5 coupe sedan.
