Bugatti Veyron and Maybach Coupe by FAB Design

FAB Design Sketch for Bugatti Veyron and Maybach Bugatti Veyron and Maybach Coupe by FAB Design

Okay, we know you are confused with the title of our article here, so we suggest you to keep reading this post. The reason of the confusion is the Maybach, not the Bugatti Veyron. We all know that Maybach is the luxury division of Mercedes-Benz and the three-pointed German automaker decided to end the Maybach brand. So, why FAB Design tuning in the vehicle that no longer exist?

Actually, Mercedes stills continues the very last production of Maybach which means that the Swiss tuning house has its last chance to customize which soon to be rare vehicle. Fro the Bugatti Veyron, honestly, we haven’t got any tuning house or aftermarket specialist that has the courage to pimp out the supercar.

We got the sketches made by FAB Design from autoevolution.com and the tuning project will be using the Bugatti Veyron and the Xenatech Maybach 57S Coupe. If Xenatch sounds strange to you, that is because Xenatech is the company which altered the Maybach 57 into a coupe.

Before Mercedes stops the production of Maybach, there were 8 units and three of them still in the form of unfinished project. There is big possibility that FAB Design might be bought the remaining three unfinished Maybach and tuning them into fabulous vehicles. Can’t wait to see the real-life result from this sketch? Our aforementioned source predicted that the Bugatti Veyron and Maybach version of FAB Design will be ready at 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.

The speed bump issue for supercars like the one that happens to Bugatti Veyron, can be resolved by giving noselift system from aftermarket developments. But perhaps, the anonymous owner of the Veyron supercar is kind of shy – or could it be the high dignity? – to custom his supercar. Come on…. It’s Bugatti Veyron and the ultimate supercar needs noselift custom job? Surely it brings down the high class look, eh?

Anyway, the photos are courtesy of Supercars in Hyderabad and clearly, the photos are some kind of warning for other supercars with lower nose that custom noselift job is necessary. Yes, the speed bump might not seem threatening for ordinary cars, but for Bugatti Veyron, the supercar is really having difficulties to pass it through without scratch the lower nose.

According to autoevolution.com, the setting of this embarrassing driving moment of speed bump issue was at India where Bugatti Veyron is having some kind of showcasing driving across the country. To give you clear picture, the standard ground clearance for Veyron supercar is 12.4cm or around 4.9-inches. Bugatti Veyron Ettore Concept

Bugatti Ettore Bugatti Veyron Ettore Concept

Before you get excited and run all over the room, please notice that what you see is the rendering image of Bugatti Veyron Ettore. Yes, it is very unusual name, but this is what happen when Bugatti decided to hold on the next-gen of the luxury supercar. Should we blame the Bugatti CEO Wolfgang Durheimer for this? Probably like this, but let’s see the positive side of this delayed project, shall we?

The rendering image of Bugatti Veyron Ettore concept was proposed by designer Tamas Jakus. The naming for this supposed  to-be successor of Veyron luxury supercar is inspired by Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti who is the founder of the Bugatti automaker company. So, what is the Veyron Ettore concept exactly? A luxury supercar, or luxury saloon supercar?

Bugatti Ettore convertible Bugatti Veyron Ettore Concept

We can’t describe as saloon as the rendering image on the Bugatti Veyron Ettore concept is more like “ordinary” luxury supercar. Tamas Jakus also created the convertible model as well besides the coupe. According to autoevolution.com, the Veyron Ettore concept carries a lighter, sleeker, and more supercar-oriented if we compare it to the basic model of Veyron.

What about the engine? Unfortunately, Tamas Jakus  only working on the overall design, not the engine. But we predict, if Bugatti Veyron Ettore concept does exist, it would be powered by none other than the W12 engine, just like the usual powerplant on the Bugatti line-up models.

Follow Up News About Bugatti Galibier

Bugatti Galibier concept Follow Up News About Bugatti Galibier

We really have bad feelings about this one because honestly, we have built some expectations and obviously can’t wait to see the production version of the Bugatti Galibier. That is right… the mysterious four-door luxury sedan Bugatti will ever made. There has been rumors that the Bugatti execs want the Galibier to be back to drawing board, make everything from scratch, and using different engine types. We don’t quite know what happen, but it seems like the project on the Galibier luxury four-door sedan has been going on and off, on and off, and we can’t even tell you how the end will look like.

The Bugatti CEO – Durheimer trusted both his customers and his engineers. The engineers think that the Galibier is doable, so they created the prototype and asked some of Veyron’s owners to give some kind of test drive for the luxury four-door sedan. The result was pretty disappointing as the Veyron’s owners stated that the prototype was far from what they have expected.

Durheimer is really aware – and hopefully sober – that his decision to postpone (again) the Bugatti Galibier luxury four-door sedan will disappoint many people. But if he wants the Galibier to be one the Bugatti’s best creations in the form of luxury four-door sedan, then it may take some times to see the production version dubbed as “Royale”. The name itself refers to luxury, don’t you think? Galibier was expected to be ready next year, but things have changed and much likely the luxury four-door sedan will hit the road in 2015. Let’s hope nothing happen between now and the 2015. Well, good things are happen for those who are willing to wait, right?

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Caught on Tape: 11 Units of Bugatti Veyron Invade US Soil

Question: What will you do if your hometown invaded by 11 units of Bugatti Veyron? Will you run for your life, of deliberately approach those exclusive supercars? Check out the video that uploaded by YouTube user “CarsandCoffeeIrvine” as he successfully recorded 11 units of Bugatti Veyron gathered in one place. Now, this “one place”, where was it exactly? Must the happiest place on Earth as it surrounded by supercar like the Veyron.

With 11 units of Bugatti Veyron gathered in one place, what else can you hope for? Among the army of Veyron supercars that invaded US, we managed to find the ordinary 1,000 horsepower Veyron (how come a Veyron referred to be “ordinary”?), a pair of hunkered-down Veyron Super Sports with noticeable bright yellow bumpers and wings, and four units of super sports Bugatti Veyron convertibles.

Bugatti Veyron Lor Blanc Caught on Tape: 11 Units of Bugatti Veyron Invade US Soil

On top it all, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport “L’or Blanc” Edition. Yup… this one supercar appeared with fine porcelain cover all over its body as well as in it cabin. We bet the girls would spend hours looking at the reflection and admiring the exclusivity. It’s not difficult to locate the Veyron Grand Sport “L’or Blanc”, just look for the shiniest Veyron among the supercars and it will leave you bewildered; is it in blue, white, or silver? As we mentioned before, being in one place surrounded by 11 units of Bugatti Veyron, must be the happiest place on Earth.

Reinvention Over Bugatti Galibier: True or False?

Bugatti Galibier sedan Reinvention Over Bugatti Galibier: True or False?

We don’t want to keep our expectation high for the arrival of Bugatti Galibier as we previously reported that the sedan probably will get new power. Now, after the announcement that stated the development on the Galibier had to be put on hold because the available design doesn’t fill the Wolfgang Durheimer’s expectation. So, what’s new about the Bugatti Galibier?

Wolfgang Durheimer said that the not-yet-confirmed production version of the Bugatti Galibier sedan will be different from the photo we attached and from all the designs that you can easily find on Google. Wait, is this mean that Bugatti Galibier will no longer fill the sedan segment? Or will it be totally brand newly designed supercar?

We don’t know yet, but the possibility that the Bugatti Galibier will be emerging in the brand new design and won’t be in the form of sedan is much likely true. It all started when Herr Durheimer revealed that they invited Bugatti Veyron owners to test drive the current Bugatti Galibier sedan prototype. And did you know what they say?

What the customers say can be very positive critic for the company and that is what Wolfgang Durheimer believed in right now. Half of the Bugatti Veyron owners who tested the Galibier stated that they disappointed with the sedan prototype. No details if the disappointment referred to the engine, the design, or all above. That is why, the company decided to bring the Bugatti Galibier project back to scratch or reinvented.

Here is what Wolfgang Durheimer said about the redesign Bugatti Galibier, “I will suggest we continue development, but there will be some remarkable changes from the original concept. The design will be different, especially from the B-pillar back, the ingress and regress to the rear seats will be improved, as will the legroom and ergonomics, the car will be a little longer, and the power of the engine will be at least four figures.

Dual Tone Colors for Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron Matte Black and Purple Dual Tone Colors for Bugatti Veyron

What is the first thing crosses your mind if you think about the Bugatti Veyron supercar? Mighty supercar that blast off less than 5 seconds? Can you imagine Veyron dresses in matte black and purple combination? Dressing supercar in unique color tone seems to be trending right now as we reported a Bentley that got ASI body work, and now… Bugatti Veyron dresses in matte black and purple. Interesting, isn’t it?

Thanks to YouTube user under the name of F14BigAl, our imagination over dual tone colors for supercar will never come true. Where exactly the video did was taken? Well, judge by the background, it was in hotel in London, if we are not mistaken.

The video was less than one minute, but enough to see living proof of dual tone of Bugatti Veyron supercar in matte black and purple. Just want to remind you that the mighty supercar is powered by 8.0L W16 engine with the power output reaches 1,001 horsepower and 922 lb-ft of torque. To complete the performance, the Veyron equips with 7-speed automated manual gearbox which has similar design with Volkswagen’s DSG transmission.

The all-wheel drive system on the Bugatti Veyron is able to reach 0 to 60 mph in about 2.5 seconds – told you it would be blast off less than 5 seconds, right? – and a quarter-mile time in the low 10 seconds range. So, what do you think about the matte black and purple Bugatti Veyron? Will it be able to sprint under 5 seconds?

Rumor: New Power for Bugatti Galibier?

Bugatti Galibier Rumor: New Power for Bugatti Galibier?

The imaginary photos for Bugatti Galibier supercar has been popping out on the internet probably could not outreach Justin Bieber’s photos. We were kind of excited when Volkswagen (finally) agreed to put the Bugatti Galibier supercar into production and we were also okay when the Galibier was about to named as “Royale”. What we don’t understand is that Bugatti has decided to put the Bugatti Galibier supercar project on hold. Wait… Bugatti Galibier is back on the R&D department and back to the drawing board design? Bummer, don’t you think?

So, what is exactly does Bugatti Galibier want? Why puts the Bugatti Galibier project on hold? These questions have been running around inside our head. So, to kill our curiosity and of course, your curiosity as well, we rang up the Bugatti office, getting some confirmations. After the sweet talks, we found out that the Bugatti boss, Wolfgang Durheimer wanted the Bugatti Galibier to carry more than 800 horsepower in order to set the bar for other competitor.

You should remember that the first time Bugatti Galibier concept emerged, it was projected as supercar sedan. If the Bugatti Galibier supercar carries more than 800 horsepower, it will be definitely set the bar way too high for sedan, don’t you think? But then again, everything about Bugatti it has to be more than the ordinary car. Especially the Bugatti Galibier which is set to be more than just supercar.

This is what we quoted as Wolfgang Durheimer stated about the continuation of Bugatti Galibier, “It’s 800 horsepower now, but there are tuners today who can give you that and we don’t want our car to be involved in any discussion that involves tuners, so we have to move the benchmarks.”

If you think the things about Bugatti Galibier ended here, you are far from right. Wolfgang Durheimer also encourages – more like challenging – the engineers and designers to create the best performance and comfort for the Bugatti Galibier. If this is what happens, then the space in the rear area of the Bugatti Galibier has to go which makes us kind of disappointed.

In the end, the delay on the Bugatti Galibier supercar project is intended to make us stay curious. But for the execs, they want the Bugatti Galibier to be a supercar that makes us speechless, a supercar that is so good in every possible way and it doesn’t need a complex presentation to impress. Well, we can only hope that the engineers and designers could do their best to present us with the Bugatti Galibier supercar as they have promised.
