2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

We don’t know about you folks, but we think that the 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class doesn’t radiance what the compact hatchback should be. It is kind of weird, but try to compare it with the prototype where the three-pointed German automaker deployed it for test drive. This the 3rd generation of the A-Class which got its proper and official unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class is constructed from the same MFA modular front architecture of the B-Class. The 1,780mm wheelbase is offering you good performance from the short overhangs and sporty design. You see, we knew it that there is something special about this compact German hatchback and it is the sportiness. As if this is not sporty enough for you, the powerful version of the 2012 A-Class is currently undergoing development on the AMG division where the total power output sets at 211 horsepower.

2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class interior and engine

The engine which powers up the 2012 A-Class hatchback according to is the 1.6L turbo which provides you with 122 horsepower as the total power output for the A180. Need more power? There is another total power output for you and that is the 156 horsepower and if you look for the range topper, the A250 with more aggressive bodywork surely suits your sporty style. These are the petrol or the gasoline lines, are you ready for the diesel powerplant choices?

For the diesel, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class is powered by the 1.8L CDI for the A180 with total power output is 109 horsepower and if you buy the A200 compact hatchback with CDI engine, you can get 136 horsepower. The most powerful diesel engine holds by the A220 with the 2.2L CDI with power output at 170 horsepower. The entertainment system for this compact German hatchback is what Mercedes refers to “iPod on wheels” where they infuse the integration of cool infotainment system on the dashboard.

The main design for the interior of the 2012 A-Class hatchback is derived directly from the B-Class but the A-Class model has the more luxury premium feeling. If you go for the optional AMG package, you can get a new grille mesh, a full body kit, and larger wheels. For the interior, the AMG version of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class caries carbon fiber for the dashboard and sporty seats which are the same with the ones on the SLK roadster.

2013 Mercedes Benz Viano prototype

You don’t think that Volkswagen is the only German automaker which can produce van, do you? Well, look what we have here… series of spyshots where the prototype of 2013 Mercedes Benz Viano deployed for winter test. It is not all of a sudden the three-pointed automaker shifted their vision to produce van, but Mercedes does has van division where they got new director which formerly assigned at the AMG division – Volker Mornhinweg.

After two years of leading the Mercedes-Benz van division, Herr Morhinweg finally deployed its creation in the form of 2013 Viano which we think it is a mid-size van and already schedule for sale next year. This is a prototype as we spotted the combination of the A-pillar from the front to the rear of current car with an all new front end. The three-pointed German carmaker wants to produce its van to be safe for pedestrian which is why they equip the prototype with pedestrian protection standard.

The pedestrian protection standard on the 2013 Mercedes Benz Viano is a car-like front end which we think will score pretty good points from Euro NCAP. For engine and department part, we have no clue what so ever on what engine which Mercedes-Benz will put on. There is no chance this German van will be getting turbo for its engine, although we scooped up one unofficial engine which available and matches the 2013 Viano – it’s the BlueEfficiency diesel engine.

Tuning Series: White Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG by Senner

Mercedes SLS AMG by Senner

What makes Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar special? Not only the gullwing door, but also the outstanding power and performance. If you think that this car is not customizable, you are wrong, folks. Senner tries to beak its own boundaries by tuning in the SLS AMG because the tuning world recognize the tuning house as the one who modifies the Audi with its supercharged sportscars and SUVs.

So, what Senner has done with the most powerful vehicle among Mercedes-Benz’s line up? Senner has their eyes on the engine of SLS AMG and that is what their tuning goal is. The naturally-aspirated .2L V8 engine has been tweaked with secret parts in order to add more power to bring the adrenaline rush to the next level.

Not much of change on the exterior, but we think that the white color that Senner applies for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is perfect, just can’t get better than this. It’s like an angel that has the hidden wrath of a devil which the devil here refers to the new engine that goes for 571 ponies as the original power and playing with the ECU gives new total power output up to 606 horsepower.

There is no way that remapping the engine and performance system will not include other parts which explain why Senner equips the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with new sports exhaust and intake systems. To wrap up the whole tuning kit, the German tuning house granted 20-inch of Corniche Vegas alloy wheels. These wheels worth €19,500 in German tuning market.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate Black Series Rendering

What you see is not the original model of Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate Black Series, but the rendering image. You can curse or praise it, but the credit for these photos goes for Theophilus Chin. We know that the three-pointed German automaker is currently working on the C63 AMG Estate Black Series, but we just not that patient to wait and thanks to Mr. Chin, we get the idea how the luxury MVP will look like.

Does the name Theopilus Chin sound familiar to you? That is because it is the person who brought the rendering image of BMW Gran Touring.  The overall design is pretty much clear as the design language for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate Black Series is still translating as luxury MVP or soccer Mom’s car with hidden power under its bonnet. What Theopilus wants is a vehicle that really taking the advantage of lowers ground clearance.
