The German automaker has been powering their sportscars with the twin-turbo engine and the masterpiece is currently under developing. The changing on the engine choice for the new 2013 911 Turbo sportscar started when the 997 model powered by the first turbocharged petrol unit that offers variable turbine geometry. Just like the Bavarian carmaker which patented their turbo system, Porsche also submitted patent application for system that uses three individual turbochargers.
The three individual turbochargers are scattered at near the engine for low response while the other two units are intended for outgoing generation. The vehicle that predicted is getting this application is the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo which means that this sportscar will be getting enhance throttle response and more linear power delivery which increase the efficiency and output. The total power output could be reached more than 525 horsepower. So, with that amount of power, is Porsche trying to challenge BMW or Lamborghini?
