And it is out again, folks… We are referring to the second test drive for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake. Second because we spotted the first with heavy camouflage sheet all over the body and this one, the bran new winter test spyshots hinted that the wagon is nearly finished with the rear end covered a bit of black camouflage sheet. This is also another proof that the European carmakers like Mercedes-Benz is taking the advantage of the winter with roads covered in snow to test if their engine and performance can cope up with the harsh winter.
The no-longer prototype of the 2013 CLS wagon might be having other names although we haven’t obtained any official name yet, but for now, let’s just called the CLS prototype or CLS Shooting Brake. Autoeovolution.com believes that the official name could be announced later as this German wagon has been scheduled for official unveiled at later this year, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show to be exact. The red carmine paintjob – hopefully not the permanent paint – makes the 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS looks unconventional and pretty good-looking.
We really hope that Mercedes-Benz will do something about the back end as it looks kind of impractical. Impractical because we predict that you need to lift your luggage quite a bit to get them through the rear liftgate hatch. Oh, and you might notice that the hatch is very sloped which definitely no more long furnitures for you to carry with. Any suggestion about the engine and performance?
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS wagon might be powered by everything that the German three-pointed carmaker has on their R&D department. But our prediction is the 3.5L V8 alongside with the full AMG-version of 5.5L V8 which offers total power output of 518 horsepower.
