Rumor: Lamborghini is Developing the Cabrera
How can you satisfy the millionaire’s and billionaire’s lust of speed? Well, the short answer will be “no we can’t” and that is why supercar and hypercar makers are continuing to develop the ultimate ride where you don’t have any fear that you can’t pay for the gas bill. Well, as soon as the Aventador J has sold, we are scooping about the new arrival of the Italian Raging Bull company in the form of Lamborghini Cabrera. So, why all of a sudden Lamborghini is going to develop new car and what does this new car have to offer us?
We know that the upcoming Lamborghini will be “cheaper” and easier to get although it is still in limited edition. Now… we are not referring to the SUV, but the replacement for the Gallardo. According to autoevolution.com, the replacement for Gallardo will be referred as Cabrera – for this moment, we suppose. Lamborghini CEO – Stephen Winkelmann stated that Cabrera supercar will carry “a clear cut” from the Gallardo by offering new design and it will be more revolutionary than evolutionary. Sounds like BMW, eh?
Not much changes will be carried by Lamborghini Cabrera as it could be powered by the old V10 engine from the Gallardo, in two-seater and probably sends the 600 horsepower to the AWD system through a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Rumor has it that the Cabrera supercar won’t be constructed from as many carbon fiber as the Gallardo did with the platform will be borrowed from VW Group. Lamborghini targets the Cabrera to share 15 to 20% more parts with Audi or Porsche than the current supercar.
I am talking about Ferrari is perfect for like serious racing like f1 and ferrari challenge, but lamborghini does not obtain that it is simply for show. I understand some lamboes could be fast but in comparison to Ferrari it’s rubbish. However it will get more street attention
