Rumor on 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe’s New Engine

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG debuted at 2011 New York International Auto Show. On that event Mercedes-Benz stated that the 2012 C63 AMG powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine which gives around 451 horsepower. It seems Mercedes-Benz not only bring the C63 Coupe, but also the C63 AMG Black Series.

The Black Series cars are the upgraded versions of the already high-performance AMG models from Mercedes-Benz. If we track back, the past years we had seen the Black Series editions of SLK AMG, CLK63 AMG, and the recent is SL65 AMG. All are two doors, but the all new Black Series model based on the C63 AMG four doors sedan.

When the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe made its debut, Mercedes-Benz expects it to differentiate itself from the rest of the C-Class world with a lower stance and significantly wider and more aggressive body work.

So, is the rumor true or is it just a little bird told us? As we discussed earlier that the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is powered by 5.5-liter V8 engine. But on the 2011 NYIAS, Mercedes-Benz stated that they will add the engine capacity to be a 6.2-liter, still using V8 engine, but able to deliver a massive power of 507 horsepower.

No official information when the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe will hit the production line-up, but Mercedes-Benz signals it will be on the market by 2012.

The Revival of 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe

2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe

We bring you another participant from the 2011 Geneva Motor Show – it is the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. If you look at the photo, what do you think if it competes against the BMW 3 Series and Audi A5? In our opinion, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is way too big to competes against those cars, but the Silver Arrow is rectifying that with the new 2012 C-Class Coupe is the revival of the old Mercedes CLK.

Mercedes-Benz claimed that C Coupe is newly redesigned sedan because the lower the roofline slightly and remove the two doors. There three powertrain variants including the new 201 horsepower 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four in the Mercedes-Benz C250 and the direct-injected, the 304 horsepower V6 in the range-topping of Mercedes-Benz C350.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe’s front fascia nearly mirrors its revised for the 2012 sedan sibling, but the biggest changes occur at the –pillar. Wide doors give way to an elongated tail with a gently-sloping roofline. A kink at the rear window in the beltline emphasizes the Bavarian style and it is unlike anything Mercedes-Benz has ever offered. The rear look is borrowed from the coupe with swept-back tail lamps and a faux diffuser.

Mercedes-Benz successfully give the 20120 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe a sporty style and interior and they did the same with the car’s chassis. The Agility Control tuning features a unique amplitude-dependent damping system that helps cut down on road noise with no detriment to handling.

A three-link front axle with MacPherson struts and multi-ink rear axle with five control arms ensures that C-Coupe moves down the road confidently. Of course the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is equipped with the safety feature such as Attention Assist, Active High beam Assist and ESP. Options will include Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist which help ensure that the coupe stays where its driver intends it to be.

So, do you agree with us when we say that the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is the revival of the old Mercedes CLK?
