M6 Gran Coupe – There's a new M-branded BMW product coming soon to a showroom near you!
The 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe becomes the newest member of the BMW M5, M6 Coupe (M family) this year thus becoming a great 2014 MY addition. Developed in Nürburgring, Germany (Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit), BMW validated the M6's acceleration, braking and handling as the M6 passed the demanding track requirements at Green Hell. Its Canadian debut is coming and dealerships will fill their inventories during the summer of 2013. Final pricing, specifications, options and other figures and options will be announced closer to the specific launch date. The four door vehicle should be a hit with its overall practicality (space, performance) over the 2-door M6 coupe.
The M6 Gran Coupe is positioned as a high performance, four-door Coupe providing for additional passenger space in comparison to the 2-door coupe version. The M6 will be placed in between the M6 Coupe and the M5 models as far as vehicle placement is concerned. The new M6 Gran Coupe will fill yet another small market void within the BMW vehicle line up. In essence the M6 Gran Coupe is a combination of the M6 coupe and M5 sedan but with big divisional power installed under its hood. The smoothly flowing roofline makes the Gran Coupe more attractive than the three-box M5 sedan. Both Ergonomics and Racing Technologies have been integrated to make the M6 an attractive and sexy vehicle option for the consumer.
BMW has done its homework and "burned the midnight oil" in making the M6 vehicle more fuel efficient while at the same time maintaining the fun, exuberance and power via the V8 engine. The vehicle outputs 10% more power than the M V-10 motor while improving its torque by 30%! Wow! The M6 will have a direct-injected 4.4 liter M Twin Power Turbo V-8 engine becoming the strongest engine amongst the M family members. At 560 horsepower and 500 #/ft of torque this vehicle will be agile, mobile and nimble.
The M6 engineers anticipate a top end speed of 155 miles per hour accompany a 0-62 mph time in a mere 4.1 seconds. The brakes have been improved with large rotors in the front and rear along with six-piston calipers. The driver has the ability to shift between M1 or M2 modes by using the steering wheel integrated buttons (M1 = sportier setup and M2 = track duty).
If you are looking for a racing car performance, some additional seating for guests and for some awe-inspiring looks…then the 2014 BMW Gran Coupe could be for you!

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe

BMW is in the midst of releasing its enhanced Z4 Roadster which will arrive in the Spring of 2013. The key updates include new exterior features, a wide range of interior changes (finishes and materials) along with a brand new Hyper Orange design offering.
BMW has deemed a strong interest in its China footprint and thus proving so in its investment. Brilliance Automotive Ltd is BMW's Chinese joint venture company. It possesses two manufacturing plants in Shenyang: Tiexi and Dadong plants. The Brilliance partnership manufactures the X1, 5 series and 3 series vehicles. BMW Brilliance (Shenyang, China) is a 50-50 joint venture between Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Limited and BMW. The Ministry of Environmental Protection has confirmed BMW Brilliance's intentions to raise the Tiexi facilities capacity. Shenyang's environment is still a key concern and the ministry will need to determine its effects. For the first four months of 2012 the German Automaker has sold 107,211 locally built and imported vehicles in China. This is up a staggering 35 percent when compared to the previous year. BMW believes the China market could rise as much as 30 percent this year. It is important that balance is maintained for its global production in the US, China and Germany. CEO Norbert Reithofer confirmed this information to the media at the facility opening. The China Market accounts for approximately 25 percent of profit concerning the German "Premium Luxury Automakers". China's importance is key since relying on Italy or France is a little more risky. Both India and Russia could eventually become more prominent but China is clearly the number one and will be for at least a decade. BMW is planning on producing and selling two million cars and SUVs by 2016. For all of last year the BMW Group as a whole sold 1.67 million vehicles on a worldwide basis.
