Audi A8 Platform for Bugatti Sedan
Bugatti Sedan is developed by the Volkswagen as the new production plan within the group of the brands included in what could become the number one auto manufacturer by 2018. Well, Volkswagen’s effort in creating the Bugatti Sedan is none other caused by Porsche which has been handed production of all sports cars and Audi responsible for all the SUVs.
Bugatti Sedan will have a major makeover process that will see the brand abandon the high-performance products it is famous for and focus on something else. Rumor has it that the Veyron could soon become history as Bugatti might change its view from 2014 when it will start building the luxurious Bugatti Sedan.
As always, the Bugatti Sedan will be produced only for a limited number of people and will have jaw-dropping prices. But even so, this could be more profitable for Volkswagen Group than the Bugatti brand is in the current state. The Bugatti Sedan first project could take the form of a luxurious sedan that would use the platform of the Audi A8; it seems likely its next generation, to be built at the same time with the Bugatti Galibier.
What interesting about the Bugatti Galibier is that if it indeed goes into the production line-up, it will probably come as a limited series of 300 units, with features more luxurious and definitely expensive than the Bugatti Sedan which based on the Audi A8.
Both Bugatti and Volkswagen Group do not share any confirmation concerning the Bugatti Sedan, so we still have to wait for official statement or press release on the matter to confirm or deny the report. But, we manage to gather some information for you.
Bugatti Sedan more likely to have its official debut on the 2011 Frankfurt International Auto Show on September. A little bird told us that if you could remember the Bugatti concept back in 1990s while it was still produced under the marquee’s Italian ownership, it probably give you a tiny bit idea of the which will be applied on the Bugatti Sedan.
And what about the engine? Since no confirmation on the Volkswagen Group and Bugatti, we predict that the Bugatti Sedan will be powered by the same outrageous W12 engine which shares with Bugatti Veyron. Could it be sport sedan? We do not know yet.
Bugatti Sedan will be revealed on September, and until then, all we can do is waiting to be surprised by the sport sedan to-be.
