2012 BMW 1 Series Revealing the 2012 BMW 1 Series: Photos, Spec Detail and Pricing

2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback photos have been leaked (or probably intentionally leaked) onto the internet. We think that car manufacturers just can’t seem to keep a lid on their new cars, and people keep finding ways to grab photos of stuff we are not suppose to see. We are all that anxious kid who finds his present before Christmas – we are hoping it’s exactly what you want, but you don’t want to unwrap it, fearing it is not.

BMW did it again (this time). The new 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback photos make no apologies for its sporty but luxurious looks.

The front fascia of 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback draws heavy inspiration from the BMW 7-Series, and a bit from the more muscular BMW X1. The headlights are much bigger and you can clearly see this is a Munich product from the first glance. It is almost like the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback has become more confident in its looks and is opening its eyes wider. We also found out that BMW adds “Sport” and “Urban” trim levels.

From the photos of the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback, the car is much wider and we can see that BMW has learned from its past mistakes, providing a much more practical space with 200 liters (7 cubic feet) in extra space. The cabin is also roomier thanks to the longer 2.69 meter (105.9 inch) wheelbase. The shots of the dash reveal a 6.5-inches iDrive display which will come as standard, with a larger 8.8-inches unit available as an option.

Under the hood, the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback the range of six and four-cylinder turbocharged engines are expected to arrive, with BMW introduces start/stop and regenerative braking. The base model will come in the form of 2012 BMW 116i which will powered by a newly developed 1.6-liter which will produce 100kW.136 horsepower.

From the same displacement engine on the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback, the 2012 BMW 118i will receive 125kW/170 horsepower. On the diesel front its 2.0-liter units all around, providing three different power levels: 85 kW/116 horsepower, 105 kW/143 horsepower, and 135 kW/184 horsepower. Gearbox options will come in the form of either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. We also know there’s a new 2012 BMW 135i coming that will bring in excess of 300 horsepower.

Due to advancements in aerodynamics and other fuel-saving systems on the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback, it will burn through between 4.3 and 5.8-liters per 100 km (40.6 and 54.7 mpg for US). BMW will also introduce a selectable driving mode system with two settings: “Eco” and “Sport”.

This is a big leak of information for the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback, but if they have anything else to tell us, it will probably happen at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, where the 1-Series will be officially unveiled.

BMW has not fixed the official pricing for the 2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback, but it’s expected to be at about the same levels as the current generation. We predict the starting price for the 2012 BMW 116i will be €22,200.

2012 BMW 1-Series luxury hatchback not really interest us, but it is a relief to see the car is all-BMW at heat and there is not much “green feeling” or eco-mentalism which probably makes some of BMW fans not like the looks, but it’s shaping up to be a quite decent car.

I heard B-Class in Europe and Canada will get 60 mpg, which may beat all of the cars I in the above list. Just when was it visiting USA? Now is the best time because individuals are purchasing more compact more fuel economic cars.
