Okay, hold your excitement as we will bring you the leaked specs for the BMW M550d and X6 M50d xDrive. We don’t know about you, but we think that both the sedan and SUV are the living proof that the Bavarian carmaker finally applies their tri-turbo system. Yes folks, BMW are one step closer to put the 3.0L V6 diesel with tri-turbo system on their vehicles. Back then, the tri-turbo was rumored to power the M2 but now we know which vehicles achieving the first privilege.
For the BMW X6 (M50d) SUV, the engine provides total power output as much as 381 horsepower with 740Nm of torque. Yup… it is getting additional 40Nm more than the rumors had been buzzed about. Taking the X6 (M50d) SUV for a sprint, it can easily hit 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph)in 4.9 seconds which is less 0.2 second from what the BMW X6 M has to offer.
On the other hand, the BMW M550d xDrive (part of 5-Series) can go for 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds with fuel efficiency around 6.3L for every 100 km (37.3 mpg for US and 44.8 mpg for UK) and CO2 emission sits at 165g per km. The production for the X6 M50d will be starting in April; while for the M550 xDrive will be started in March with the sales on the European market only.
