The Bavarian carmaker is officially shared the photos of the 2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible. These duo was spotted filled the tank at the gas station with camouflage sheet covered some parts of their body. The 2013 M6 Coupe and Convertible – which also known as Cabrio – has nothing to hide, no more secrets as the powerplant for these vehicles has emerged as well. Unfortunately, BMW has not shared any additional information about these two vehicles like the technical figures which very important to know on how efficient the coupe and cabrio are.
The 2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible are powered by the same – and previously predicted – 4.4L V8 engine as autoevolution.com reported. That particular engine is able to deliver 560 horsepower which again, the same power you found if you step on the pedal of M5 sedan. Another not-so-surprising fact is that the torque is the same with the M5 in 680Nm (502 lb-ft) that can be reached at 1,500 and 5,750 pm.
Now this is surprising as the Bavarian carmaker installs the standard seven-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) to transfer the power to the rear instead of the popular 6-speed tranny. The standard version of the sedans can reach 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in4.2 seconds for the 2013 M6 Coupe while the Convertible in 4.3 seconds. The top speed has been limited into 155 mpg (250km/h), but the 2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible can go 189mph (305 km/h) with extra M Driver’s package. No official price tag yet, but we believe that the Bavarian carmaker will announce it soon.
