2013 Nissan GT-R and 2013 Alpina B6 mix it up on track and street

Alpina B6 vs. 2013 Nissan GT-R in Autocar track battle - video screencap

Here we have Autocar making an unforeseen comparison: the Nissan GT-R against the Alpina B6 at Brands Hatch and on public roads. Steve Sutcliffe clobbers the circuit in the 3,828-pound, all-wheel-drive sports car, then sees how well the 4,114-pound, rear-wheel drive grand tourer does against it.

Sutcliffe says there are quite a few similarities between the two cars, but that’s really only on the spec sheet. The Nissan’s got two turbos attached to its 3.8-liter V6, 542 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. The Alpina’s got two turbos attached to its 4.4-liter V8, 532 hp and 528 lb-ft. But one’s brief is to be a monster on the track, the other on the boulevard, and if there’s anything the video demonstrates, it’s each car’s focus.

The results are lopsided, and so is the way the winner was chosen. Sutcliffe’s still fun to watch, though, and you’ll find him in action in the video below.

  1. The truly amazing Don Bradman has typically 99.94 after finishing 80 innings in test matches.I must understand what was the batting average from the top ten other great batsmen who performed test cricket in a similar point after finishing 80 innings.Clearly excluding Don Bradman,as his batting average of 99.94 is taken like a bench mark.It might be just a little obscure my question for many ,to really make it simpler,it is just like discovering that which was the batting average of Tendulker,Ponting ,Gavasker,Border,Sobers, Viv Richards and lots of other great batsmen ,at that time once they completed 80 innings within their test match career. Then rating the very best 10 included in this.

Whenever we compare the batting earnings at 80 innings and career earnings (check crikinfo list).Ponting makes great improvement,Tendulker,Barrington,Sangakara,Yousuf made moderate improvement.Sobers,Hutton,Hobbs,Hammond,Lara,Gavasker,G.Chappel,Dravid maintained their good average through their career.Lastly V.Richards,Hayden G.Cruz,Harvey earnings decreased in the later a part of career.

  2. All periods of time? (Also, don’t include historic figures) I understand it’s type of an unusual question to request, but I am writing a paper which has related to forensic science for college and that i grew to become curious after reading through articles about different homicides. Thanks!
