Here is the latest toy from one of German automakers – 2012 Audi RS1. The series of spyshots photo somehow reveals that the sporty hatchback has bulging nose and some kind of rally-inspired wing on the back. Could it be the idea of creating the 2012 RS1 hatchback based on the menacing Focus RS?

The almost-look like Focus RS 2012 Audi RS1 was spotted taking test drive in the ‘Ring – Nurburgring – and then on the ordinary roads in outside the track. One from many things about the 2012 RS1 hatchback is no camouflage sheet at all. Just covered in black shiny paint which could be meaning that the car is approaching its final development process.

What kind of engine do you think the 2012 Audi RS1 will be having? Audi has been reportedly working on a 4-cylinder engine and some rumors refer to a highly-tuned 1.4L engine. Other engine options are the 2.0L TFSI from Golf GTI. Sounds interesting, a 2012 RS1 hatchback with Golf GTI engine inside? Worth the wait, don’t you think? To complete the performance, the mysterious engine much likely will be coupled to Audi’s 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission that will help hit 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) less than 6 seconds.

On the exterior, the 2012 Audi RS1 carries the same-old oval twin exhaust, huge wing, and beefy side skirts. On the front of the 2012 RS1 hatchback, you will find massive air intakes and of course, the trademark of Audi in form of new grille design. The wheels are 17-inch and the LED daytime running lights are much likely will be filling the standard features.

I’m wondering particularly concerning the Audi R8 along with a personalized form of it, the ABT Audi R8 GTS. How does one drive these cars around the roads without scraping them on speed bumps, front yard curbs, ramps, etc.? Would I must have it lifted?
