Audi A6 Hybrid Comes to US in 2012
Our eyes set on Audi A6 Hybrid sedan was on the 2011 Detroit Motor Show back in January. If the people on Europe really excited about the arrival of this luxury hybrid sedan, the mutual feeling are not quite close for the Americans. But the wait is over… The Audi fans in the US have got the confirmation from the German automaker that Audi will – finally – bring the Audi A6 Hybrid sedan to the US soil.
The rumor that has been buzzing around on the internet stated that the Audi A6 Hybrid sedan will arrive on the US with a price around $55,000 – could be more, and could be less than that.
We predict that the US-spec model for Audi A6 Hybrid sedan probably a bit different from its European sibling because Audi has to cut the some features to keep the price “affordable”. The Audi A6 Hybrid sedan we spotted on the 2011 Detroit Motor Show was powered by the TFSI powerplant and 8-speed triptonic transmission which has been modified and delivers the power from 2 machines to the front wheels. This kind of configuration much likely to be kept for the US model of Audi A6 Hybrid sedan.
Just to shear off your curiosity, the TFSI engine on the Audi A6 Hybrid offers a maximum power of 211 horsepower and the additional electric unit gives another 45 horsepower with 211 Nm of torque. Hybrid means not rely on the gasoline, so a lithium-ion pack battery is being mounted on the system of Audi A6 Hybrid sedan provides 39kW of power.
The Audi A6 Hybrid scheduled to hit the US dealerships next year which probably the same time with the introduction of the Audi A6 Hybrid which brings 250 horsepower of 3.0 diesel engine.
Audi proudly says that the Audi A6 Hybrid able to reach 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 7.3 seconds with the top speed is 238 km/h (147.89 mph). The average fuel consumption is around 6.2L for every 100 km which in US is 37.94 MPG.

Hi, I am purchasing a brand new vehicle soon which are my favorite features: Lexus GS, Mercedes-Benz E-Class (The brand new one being released), and also the Audi A6. The Lexus is my personal favorite and also the Audi is my least favorite. However the Merc may be the latest one that’s soon to be released. And my old guy HATES Lexus but likes Toyota. lol. He states Lexus is really a women vehicle. Exactly what do everyone think? For those who have had any expierence with one of these brands or specific cars, then please let me know your bad or good expierence.
