Don’t bother looking for 2012 BMW M5 at 2012 Detroit Motor Show because the German sporty sedan decided that they are after the more profitable and growing market – the Indian market. Yes folks, the 2012 M5 will be making its Indian debut at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. The Bavarian carmaker follows other automakers such as Jaguar, Land Rover, and Ford.

Our trusted source – autoevolution.com – mentioned that India will welcome the 5th generation of the world’s most successful high-performance sedan that sold at premium segment. The 2012 BMW M5 is also the first model among other units of Bavarian carmaker to carry the turbocharged engine. Although the 4.4L engine is borrowed and tweaked from the X5 M, we believe it offers enough power and a bit of less efficient than the V10.

The Indian crowds will get the chance to see the sporty design language of 2012 M5 sedan as Bavarian automaker granted the interior with M-styled sport sets that covered in fine-grain Merino leather. The other features are including the M5 badge on the door sills, M driver’s footrest, exclusive Aluminum Trace interior trim and individual roof liner in Anthracite.

It doesn’t stop there because the 2012 BMW M5 has buttons on the steering wheels to give absolute control for the driver. The buttons are cruise control system, audio, and telephone functions as well. Can this sedan contribute expected sales figures for BMW from Indian market?

We don’t know what happen because we never heard the development from the two concepts because it seems like the German carmaker has been pretty busy with the facelifted A4 and the new A6. We know how eager Audi is in completing the two models in order to be able to compete with BMW.

Perhaps Audi realizes that public has been questioning the existence and the continuation of the A3 concept sedan and R8 e-tron electroc sportscar. According to autoevolution.com, the new A3 has been officially announced for arrival next year which means that its left the R8 e-tron. Audi prepares resources around €13 billion for its R&D department to develop new products and technologies that eventually will expand its sites by 2016.

Audi is very confident that the new A3 sedan will able to compete on the mid-size sedan because the VW Group wants this vehicle to be globally-produced. Okay, here is what we got from the Christmas celebration in US. Someone dressed in Santa Clause custom drove classic Porsche 911 and then crashed the retro sportscar. There some unofficial explanations about this accident. First; the reindeers decided to boycott Santa by not hauling the sleigh to deliver presents and this way, as the clock was ticking and Santa had no choice than to use his old-school 911 sportscar.

Second explanation is all the reindeers got sick and Santa thought that the best vehicle to deliver the presents on time would be Porsche 911. Unfortunately, all of our explanations are far from right because according to autoevolution.com, those were not what exactly happen. The poor classic 911 sportscar crashed into a traffic signal on the intersection of 5th Avenue and 19th street in Big Apple a.k.a New York.

Unfortunately, no official report on what the accident was all about. Perhaps the man dressed in Santa was late to attend Christmas party and he had to run through traffic sign because he realized that this Porsche 911 had no automatic brake like the real Santa’s sleigh. Judging by photo, Santa needed more than miracle to repair its classic 911 and we predict that the repairing fee is going to be far from cheap. Should have stick with the sleigh, eh Santa?
